This version adds the previous draw of the UK Camelot National Lottery Saturday draw. It refreshes once a week and finds the data itself. This is a major update, nearly doubling the code. This first version appears to be bug free, a reason to release in the wild. A few more features will be added in the coming days.

I had a lovely play with all the date and time functions. I wanted to draw the balls once a week, so I calculated 'Next Saturday' in an awesome algorithm that only took three lines, until I found

strtotime( 'next Saturday' )

works also.

Version 0.8 adds multiple free links to the Blogroll. Furthermore a fun random sort of the Blogs.

The widget, which is described below, now has entered version 0.6. I rewrote a large part of the core to allow for some improvements and enhanced functionality.

The plugin can now display Blogs that are not 'public'. So in the list in the Widget settings (Blog settings -> Widgets -> Sorted public bloglist) you find a default list with public Blogs. A blog is public if it's to be displayed in the Public Bloglist (Blog settings -> Features -> Include in public bloglist'). Well, the plugin allows you to re arrange Public blogs and won't complain if you add another. This is helpful if you don't want every blog to have the same Bloglist.

Furthermore there was a question in the forums. This is the situation. A blog has a few 'hidden' blogs that only have Protected posts, meant for Members only. I made a new setting for the Sorted Bloglist plugin that allows such a Blog to be in the Blogroll only if you are a member of that blog. So you see a larger Blogroll if you are member of (a) blog(s) than 'normal visitors' will see. That makes it easy for your members to navigate through the blogs. You could make groups or sections and everybody can navigate through the parts they are interested in.

I wrote a small widget that allows you to display the public bloglist the way you want. In fact the one thing you can change is the order of the list. Use this widget as a replacement for the official Public Blog list widget. You can customize the bloglist in the Widget settings.

As you can see, in the widget settings appears a list with available blogs. You can arrange them the order you like. Remember two things: use it as a comma seperated list and do not omit or add items to this list.

• Download the plugin
• Unzip and upload to the /blogs/plugins/ folder of your server
• Install the plugin in Dashboard -> Blog settings -> Plugins
• Install the widget in Blog settings -> Widgets. Remove the 'Public Blog list widget' and use the 'Sorted Bloglist widget' instead.
• In the settings for the widget (see picture) change the order of the available blogs

The new version (0.3) adds an optional title for if you want to use the widget in the sidebar. The basic 'Public Bloglist Widget' comes with a title in one flavour only: Blogs, which is not a bad choice, but with this widget you are in full control of this title!

I made a plugin to display a random image from a folder in the sidebar. Due to lack of imagination it is called the Random Picture plugin. Actually it is a widget, or a plugin for a widget with a widget in it, or something like that.
The plugin takes the folder /plugins/randompic_plugin/images/ and is able to determine which files are in the folder. It then randomly takes one and displays it in a widget container.
You can put as many pictures in the folder as you like.

What to do?

1. download and unzip this file: randompic_pugin-0.6.zip,
2. Upload to the /plugin/ folder of your blog,
3. In backoffice: install the plugin under Global settings -> Plugins install -> Install new,
4. In back office: install the widget in the sidebar Blog settings -> CHOOSE A BLOG -> Widgets -> (Sidebar) Add widget.
5. Put as many pictures as you like in the folder /plugins/randompic_plugin/images.

• 0.6 Version 0.6 is a minor rewrite of some elements. I intended it to work together with the jQuery Lightbox plugin and the jQuery Imagefit plugin. If you have both plugins installed the image will automatically resize to the width of the container and is clickable to view the image in the Lightbox at full dimensions.
  
  I added a few larger images to test. However, the standard settings for resizing (to be set in the Widget settings at Blog settings -> Widgets -> Random Image plugin) is zero, meaning no resize. If you do not have the jQuery Imagefit plugin installed and leave the setting to zero (default) the pictures will blow off the screen. This is not an error.
